Cologne - Kolner Dom

We started our trip in Cologne, meeting Dagmar and Bruce at the central train station. Before picking up a rental bike for Graham and catching our train to Bingen we had some spare time to have a quick look around Cologne.

The Kolner Dom took over 600 years to be completed and standing in front of it you can see why - it is really tall and the spires are just majestic. The inside is a little simpler. The Dom sustained a fair bit of damage during WWII but has been completely restored.
